📍 Hertfordshire, UK | Hybrid Working | High-Tech Engineering Environment
A high-technology engineering firm is seeking an RF Engineer with a strong background in electromagnetics to join a specialist team focused on the design, simulation, and testing of advanced RF systems. The role supports the full product development lifecycle—from R&D and concept development through to validation, qualification, and production support.
You'll have access to powerful computing resources and use industry-standard simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS and CST Microwave Studio to drive innovation in RF-transparent structures and their interaction with antenna systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify emerging RF technologies and lead related research initiatives.
  • Translate system-level needs into detailed RF requirements.
  • Design, simulate, and optimise radomes and antenna systems.
  • Perform RF testing on a variety of antenna configurations using in-house test ranges.
  • Contribute to bid work and customer engagements with technical input.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams on designated projects.
  • Support existing products and resolve in-service issues.
  • Deliver detailed technical reports and presentations.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree (MSc or PhD preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on RF or antenna design experience.
  • Deep knowledge of electromagnetic theory and practical design within the 2–40 GHz range.
  • Proficient in CST Microwave Studio or Ansys HFSS.
  • Comfortable with MATLAB for simulation post-processing.
  • Experience in RF testing and validation techniques.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary with bonus potential
  • Flexible working, including early finish on Fridays
