Are you a quality engineer or quality specialist with experience working in a medical laboratory? Due to another successful round of funding, we are working with a global leader in cancer detection technology to find a 'quality specialist' to assist them with both research and clinical work. The quality specialist will work independently at their state-of-the-art Cambridge based laboratory and will be expected to have extensive experience working as the go-to medical laboratory quality engineer in the past.  

The company work mainly with hospitals in the UK as well as other hospitals across the globe. They have won numerous medical awards for pioneering a new AI focused approach to cancer detection, and coming in as the sole quality engineer, there could not be a better time to join the company as they make their mark in history.

Some of your responsibilities will include being the sole point of contact for internal quality related activity for the company and their subsidiaries. Implementing and maintaining the QMS (quality management system). Developing lab test methods and assisting in external audits in relation to ISO 15189 and other applicable regulations.

The requirements for this role are specific due to the nature of the work, so the following is essential:

- Degree and Masters Degree in Engineering, Medical, Science or related subject

- Experience in ISO 15189 in a working lab environment

If you have working experience with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304 then this would be a bonus.

The ideal fit for the team would be someone not afraid to take on challenges independently, with five or more years of experience writing technical reports and problem solving within a dynamic medical laboratory environment.
