Product Owner 

Outside IR35 Contract

Cambridge - Hybrid 

£500 - £550 a day 

SoCode are pleased to be supporting a digital health company who enable genomic medicine with a world leading platform for clinical use for the rapid analysis and interpretation of genomic data. As the Product Owner your role is to form a bridge between the Engineering teams, Product team and other key stakeholders. The role must represent the product to the organisation in order to turn strategic themes, initiatives and tactical maintenance activities into tangible engineering deliveries and working software that brings value to the customer, end users and other personas that interact with the solution.

Main Responsibilities

As the Agile Product Owner acts as a key member of both Product Management and the Engineering team(s), working through the release process of requirements definition, requirements workshops, backlog refinement and development sprints. You will work as part of the Product Management team to define and understand the key Initiatives and how these will be broken down into Epics and User Stories, ultimately taking ownership of the User Stories and Acceptance Criteria to allow engineering to develop these into working software. You will be working with the Engineering teams using Agile practices such as driving Story Workshops, Backlog refinement and Sprint planning.

To be successful you will need to showcase the following traits

• Ability to assess multiple information points to come to balance judgement on market and customer requirements

• Sound knowledge of Agile principles with experience in a SaaS based enterprise software product company
• Strong stakeholder interaction skills with the ability to represent the company in a confident and professional manner
• Experience of delivering enterprise level SaaS solutions.

• Knowledge of Genomics, Bioinformatics or other relevant life sciences discipline would be nice to have but not essential.
