SoCode is looking for candidates who have a good background in C++ development with a keen interest in medical devices and software for a new role based out of Cambridge. This role will be working within one of the top consultancy companies in the UK with a global network of fortune 500 and FTSE 100 clients covering a large area of tech, who provide good bonus schemes, travel allowance, 8% pension, private healthcare and more!

This role in particular will be focussed on the growth in the areas of health care, life sciences, medical devices and diagnostics. The company is looking for a senior level engineer who has a proven background leading work streams and really driving software development in sectors that have high levels regulatory oversight. As a principle consultant you will be able to interact directly with these major clients and direct the work in a knowledgeable and trustworthy manner. For software developers with experience in the medical field, this really is a huge opportunity.

We are looking for candidates with the following:

• Excellent C++ experience with some experience with STL
• Some prior experience in Python or C#
• CI and automation
• Bare metal and/or linux and real time OS
• Comfortable working directly working with clients
• Familiarity with object orientation and/or function design patterns
• Familiarity with software development practices and tools, such as agile development, version control, software testing, continuous integration and virtualisation
• Excellent communication skills
• Project management skills
