Principal Embedded Software Engineer - Emerging Technology

SoCode are working with the emerging technology division of a world leader in handheld electronic devices to source a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer.

Our client is world renowned for delivery the best products in the market, and has a team of engineers striving to deliver those products on a daily basis.  This role however sits in the technology R&D team, and will work on paving the way for the company to continue to push the boundaries of what is possible and drive technology forwards.

This is a rare opportunity to work right at the forefront of technology, and requires a first class embedded software engineer who is comfortable delivering embedded software from the ground up.  You will be involved in everything from the initial architecture, to development of the bare metal platform firmware, to the Embedded Linux layers.  As such, you will need to be strong in multiple areas, and be comfortable in working very closely with the hardware team to ensure that your projects develop effectively alongside the hardware platforms that they are creating.

Requirements for application:

  • First class experience in Embedded Software Engineering
  • Embedded C experience, from platform layer, through to Embedded Linux
  • Ability to understand full system requirements, and develop architecture accordingly
  • Experience bringing up embedded platforms
  • A desire to develop completely new products, ranging from novel ideas, to realistic next generation products

Beneficial
