Principal Electronics Engineer

Job description

This role is going to appeal to you if you’re looking for stability, to be a part of an electronics team made up of 9 engineers, and work on tech that’s going to do good in the world. If you question the products you work on, wondering what’s the point of creating a consumer product that is ultimately going to end up in a landfill, and would like to build things that will save lives, then read on.

This is a business that has a history of taking care of their staff, have been stable for a long time, allow you to flex your hours as we all have personal commitments outside of work, and finish half days on Friday to allow more time with loved ones.

You’ll assist some of our Countries most relied upon public services, giving them critical communication solutions, in situations that can save the lives of both members of the public, and the people using the products that you’ve specifically made.

You’ll be a senior level profile, not managing, but just getting your hands dirty on the tech, working full product lifecycle, working on the bench, fiddling with prototypes, dealing with manufacturing, and then watching your product be used by our public services in mission critical scenarios. Here’s an opportunity for you to have the autonomy to lead your day to day without much handholding, show your expertise to your team, and could step into greenfield fancy projects if you can nail the role.

You’ll need capabilities within microprocessors and microcontroller designs, experience with memory sub-systems (DDR, NAND, Emmc), design for EMC and design for manufacturing.
