SoCode is proud to be partnering with a disruptive, VC backed, tech start-up with whose ground-breaking technology has multiple sustainability applications for real time data monitoring in the IoT. Their data insights are being used by various conservation organisations globally. They have recently completed a significant round of funding that enables them to invest in establishing dedicated production and further R&D as they drive growth into new sectors. This role offers the opportunity to ultimately grow an R&D team and move into the SLT. The business has trebled in size year on year since its inception. 

You will hold a top Engineering degree from a leading Russell Group University and ideally have experience within a similar role in the Tech start-up space. An accomplished Engineer with a real passion for technology and sustainability, you will work closely with the founders to shape the manufacturing and R&D strategy. You will be responsible for establishing robust manufacturing processes with sub-contract manufacturers in the far east. Ideally you will have strong technical knowledge of injection moulding techniques.

Core duties:

• Generate concepts and design new technology to expand the product range
• Supervise and contribute to mechanical design innovaiton
• Manage R&D projects and planning field trials
• Design and streamline production processes
• Ensure on time delivery and high quality standards
