Primary Objectives:

  • Lead firmware development, collaborating closely with electronics and software teams.
  • Craft test specifications and plans based on design documents.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose emerging issues within the wider engineering team.
  • Develop unit test modules/scripts to validate software/hardware functionalities.
Main Tasks:
  • Architect and develop firmware for the entire device, featuring microcontrollers and systems on chips.
  • Prioritize, prototype, and deploy features to meet the dynamic needs of an early-stage startup.
  • Write efficient, well-documented code and actively participate in code reviews.
  • Champion firmware development processes to ensure optimal performance.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience within highly regulated environments.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming and experience with Git.
  • Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and secure firmware development for wireless communications.
Skills:
  • Exceptional programming and coding skills, with a keen eye for detail and code quality.
  • Strong documentation abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, thriving in a collaborative environment.
  • Effective communication across disciplines.
