Lead Software Engineer

Location      Cambridge or Remote, UK

Salary          Up to £80,000

 

SoCode have partnered with one of the most established and long-standing companies in Cambridge. They are currently excelling within the online education (EdTech) sector and have a number of industry leaders helping to engineer their ground-breaking AI engine.

This company are looking for a number of lead developers to join their fast-growing team and are happy to look at candidates also at senior level. The kind of candidate they are looking for should have experience developing applications both server side and client side with JavaScript. In this role you will play a key part in the development, standardisation and production of products and ideas. Working in an agile environment and alongside solutions engineers, scrum masters, delivery managers, products owners, UX/UI as well as all other departments.

 

You will have

  • Experience with Node.js and React.js development (other languages and frameworks considered)
  • A strong understand of coding best practices, frameworks, code architecture, object orientation and new arising technologies.
  • Experience with a cloud technology, preferably AWS
  • Proven experience of building API's using JavaScript/TypeScript

 

You might also have

  • Exposure to software development requirements for applications in education.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint and Git.
  • Experience developing products for a number of different devices.
