IT Support Engineer 1st and 2nd Line - Cambridge

Contact £200 to £250 per day dependant on experience

SoCode is partnered with a multinational information technology company which provides excellent software solutions across a number of industries. They are looking for an experienced Support engineer in Cambridge although some national travel may be required for this position.

Main Responsibilities

  • Management of escalated Helpdesk support incidents within agreed SLAs through to completion,
  • Provide service and support of the company’s entire IT infrastructure in order to maintain optimum availability and communication,
  • Provide userbase training for skill transfer in IT service teams to all levels,
  • Assistance of direct user support in Cambridge as well as remotely,
  • Actively contribute to IT support development,

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience of Level 1 or level 2 support
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting experience,
  • Windows OS and Server based support,
  • Support experience of common client software e.g.: Microsoft Office 365, Skype, etc,  
  • Understanding of networking, active directory, backup, antivirus, hardware and maintenance,
  • Excellent communication skills,
