IT Services Team Leader (3rd Line Support)

SoCode has partnered with a leading semiconductor company in Cambridge who is leading research and development in virtual reality technologies. They're currently looking for an IT Services Team leader to add more hierarchy to their teams This is a role within a highly skilled and technical team, with an invigorating and challenging IT environment. This will be a hands-on role so while you will be managing and mentoring a team, you will also have 3rd line support duties. 

This role is due to the company’s impressive growth and will be responsible for the delivery of all IT Services within the company, which will include maintaining and supporting the systems, infrastructure, and management of staff for its worldwide activities. This is a continuous improvement environment, so good management and technical knowledge is required to keep up with their standards.

Your new role will be to line manage the IT Services team and to continually recruit into the team as it grows. You will need to deliver IT solutions into the business while using the industry’s best practices. This role will also be working alongside the Cyber Security and Infrastructure teams for cross team solution delivery. The main day to day responsibilities will be to provide desktop and Server-side support, which will include supporting remote users. You will be responsible for maintaining, sourcing and provision of all IT / communications equipment for the business while smoothly and effectively running the IT Services team

You will ideally be a Team leader with experience within Windows 7, 8, 10, Office 365, Linux and Mac OSX. You will have experience within Active Directory Users & Computers and Networking expertise (Switch setup, VLAN configuration, Wi-fi, Firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, cabling and patching). You will also need Linux knowledge, especially on the command line and within VMware ESX.
