Job description

We’re looking for a proactive IT Engineer to support our growing team in Cambridge.
In this hands-on role, you’ll be the first line of support across hardware, software, and network issues — keeping systems running smoothly and enabling your colleagues to stay productive. You’ll work across a range of modern tools and platforms, supporting everything from laptops to cloud services. It’s a great opportunity to gain real breadth in a technically fast-paced environment.

🧰 What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide hardware support and troubleshooting for on-site users
  • Monitor, triage, and resolve support tickets within defined SLAs
  • Manage and maintain IT equipment stock; place orders when needed
  • Act as the first escalation point for incidents and outages
  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes for starters and leavers
  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers and service providers to resolve issues
  • Contribute to IT projects and infrastructure improvements
  • Document repeatable IT tasks, processes, and end-user guides
  • Administer and support SaaS and PaaS applications used by the business
  • Identify and recommend ways to reduce recurring issues through process or tech improvements

🧠 What You’ll Bring
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows 10 and Apple OS environments
  • Familiarity with Azure AD (Entra), Active Directory, Group Policies, and Office 365
  • Understanding of basic networking: IP addressing, DNS, VPNs, VLANs, etc.
  • Experience with Windows imaging and device deployment
  • Comfortable working with mobile devices (Android/iOS) in a managed environment
  • Awareness of Windows Server, Azure, and AWS platforms
  • A problem-solving mindset and a friendly, customer-first approach

Why You’ll Enjoy This Role
  • Get stuck in – work across hardware, cloud, mobile, and more
  • Learn fast – gain exposure to modern SaaS/PaaS tools and hybrid environments
  • Own your work – be trusted to manage day-to-day support and projects
  • Support that matters – help keep mission-critical systems running for teams building real-world tech
  • Friendly environment – work onsite with a close-knit, technically strong team
