SoCode has partnered with a start-up leading the way in developing new technologies to radically modernise data centre technology and tackle the growing latency problems faced by autonomous vehicle companies across the globe. We are ideally looking for individuals with a strong raw intelligence to pick up new systems quickly and provide support to a team of exceptionally bright data scientist and software engineers. This role will be to develop its infrastructure and work alongside them in creating solutions to further the infrastructure as the company grows.

This role is well placed to progress into a DevOps style role, so we are looking for individuals interested in scripting/coding but may only have experience from their degree or hobbies. As this role will be supporting a team of developers, we are looking for hands-on experience supporting Linux, which should be in Unix/ Centos/ Linux and any additional experience OSX Windows.

Your main duties from day one will be to Install, maintain and back-up rack-mounted servers which currently comprise network and KVM switches. You will also be in control of the maintenance of the existing netgate gateway, as well as file servers, maintenance and improvements general office infrastructure i.e. set-up, maintenance and support of Routers incl. firewall, traffic and QoS monitoring, Vpn set-up, support and maintenance, Security/ back-up, Domain name host, website and email admin, Site-wide license maintenance and administration of software and telephony.
