Fully Remote Mid-Senior Project Manager for a Semiconductor Business

Job description

Fully Remote Mid-Senior Semiconductor Project Manager in Cambridge

Open-source is the future, especially for chip design. It is no secret that over the last few years the semiconductor industry has been squeezed on components but also the traditional relationships that have held up legacy chip development have started to crumble at an alarming rate.

The need for open-source design has been recognised across the world but in Cambridge, it is the hot topic.

A number of businesses are implementing open-source design for chip development and this business is looking for their first project manager with experience in the semiconductor industry to work on high level roadmaps and manage closely their customer engagement.

They work with a number of development firms and open source project engineers as well as semiconductor IP and supply chain partners. You will have full autonomy (genuinely, not just a clickbait word but full control) of how the project management function will be set up in the business.

Sounds too good to be true! That's not even the best part as you will also get to work fully remote with occassional monthly meetups, be entitled to the company health scheme, pension scheme and paid training and conferences. Also, you can choose your own equipment and will be entitled to stock options on top of their competitive salary package.

All this business asks in return is that you effectively managed the delivery of their product development across the business, working with various departments and also manage a number of large scale projects and customer engagements.

What do I need to get the job? Real life experience of managing software projects in a medium sized team of software engineers/developers, experience working with electronics products and also some exposure to open-source development (this last one is a real bonus).

This is exciting and I would love to tell you more about the business and their plans for the future but can only do so via a one-to-one contact. So, if you are interested you have a number of options:
