Front End Engineer (UX)

Job description

SoCode has partnered with one of the fastest growing online media companies. This company operates on a global scale and having offices across Europe and in America, they have their R+D office based just outside of Cambridge. They work with a number of leading brands such as BBC, Channel 4, Premier League and also LadBible.

This company are seeking a number of frontend developers with design experience at both junior and mid-level due to natural company growth. This role can have a large amount of flexible working from home but will require some days in the office - post Covid-19.

 

Requirements:

  • JavaScript, HTML, CSS and a supporting framework
  • Experience with design and prototyping with Figma and Adobe XD
  • It would be ideal to have a portfolio of your design work
  • You need to be able to liaise with customers to discuss their requirements
  • You will also need to be able to develop wireframes and mock-ups
  • Experience developing user interfaces

 

Responsibilties:

  • Liaise with customers to discuss requirements, understand personas and user stories, and gain feedback from UX testing.
  • Develop wireframes and mock-ups, suitable for evaluation and feedback, from internal stakeholders and customers alike.
  • Extend and improve ImagenWeb, our web based user / admin UI tier, and work to develop a library of custom themes.
  • Work with the broader development team to extend and improve our end to end platform.
  • Liaise with technical support colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
