6 x Contract Java Developer - Cambridge - £300 to £550 per day
SoCode have partnered with a well-known company based on Cambridge Science Park to recruit six contract Java Programmers for their Microservices projects. This company is well known as having one of the best working environments around and has some exciting plans over modernisising their technology stack over the next 12 months.
Your new contract will be focused on delivering, implementing and maintaining the internal systems with an emphasis on using highly available modern software stacks. This role would be covering certain areas of DevOps, while working in an Agile methodology. The main projects will be around product development, but also refining and maintaining current key systems. The company has Microservice architecture, so you will be working with an extensive range of technologies.
Ideally you will have experience with Java as well as using Spring / Hibernate frameworks, alongside high-volume messaging experience using Kafka or ActiveMQ. You will need to be able to contribute to development and deployments of highly available and scalable systems. You will also be advising product owners of any added value behind prioritising any immediate deliverables and will continually refine and streamline the software development practices.
