Compensation: £65,000 - £75,000 + 10% Bonus

We have a really exciting opportunity with one of our clients operating at the forefront of advanced manufacturing within the life sciences sector! We are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Director to help drive their next phase of growth. This is a senior and high impact role for a very commercially driven individual who thrives in fast paced, technically complex environments and enjoys building scalable revenue pipelines in cutting edge industries.

You will take ownership of business development strategy and execution within a specialist manufacturing environment, working closely with technical, engineering and operational teams. The business is experiencing strong momentum and is seeking someone with energy, ambition and a genuine appetite to build.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute business development strategy across new and existing markets
  • Build, manage and convert a strong sales pipeline using modern CRM and sales tools
  • Identify and develop new commercial opportunities within a highly technical manufacturing environment
  • Engage credibly with scientific, engineering and senior commercial stakeholders
  • Drive revenue growth through a proactive, hands-on sales approach
  • Provide insight into market trends, customer needs and competitive positioning
  • Work closely with internal technical teams to shape compelling, viable commercial propositions
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior business development or commercial leadership role
  • Proven success managing complex sales cycles and high-value opportunities
  • Experience within RNA manufacturing, life sciences manufacturing, or closely related sectors
  • A scientific or engineering background (or strong technical understanding) is highly desirable
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and standard sales & pipeline management tools
  • Highly driven, ambitious and self-motivated 
  • Strong communicator with the ability to translate technical detail into commercial value
