SoCode are incredibly pleased to support once again one of the region’s most prominent fintech companies in their search for a Business Analyst. This is a great opportunity to join a product led organisation as they transition into an exciting new phase in their history.

Recently I met with an enthusiastic and passionate CPO, Head of Product and Head of Product Delivery to discuss some exciting Product vacancies for this Cambridge / London based Fintech company. Under new leadership our client is looking to transform the ways in which they work and positions their products in the market. Backed by industry leaders they have attracted top talent and have ambitious growth plans over the course of 2022.

How would you feel about joining an organisation which can allow you take full control of your area of the business, offering unmatched autonomy in an exciting scale up environment as a Business Analyst who will be working towards a Lead Business Analyst position? 

 

What will you be doing:

  • Follow the defined approach and methodology when creating of Epics and Stories

  • Work independently to manage own capacity and deliver on sprint commitments for your team

  • Document high-level epics, features, and stories to create value-driven frameworks that

    deliver business value

  • Define acceptance criteria, testing needs and research to ensure that the work is feasible

  • Collaborate with the agile team through SDLC to ensure the solution meets business needs

  • Work with a cross functional stakeholders to ensure that backlog items incorporate people,

    process and technology capabilities, dependencies, and limitations

  • Resolve functional queries and support the Product Owner during the Software Delivery

    Lifecycle (SDLC) and Sprint

  • Participate and contribute during all sprint ceremonies – Stand-ups, Retrospectives, Sprint

    Planning

  • Recommend areas for change and provide support to the Product Owner and the Agile Squad

    as the changes develop to ensure continuous improvement
    Prepare and deliver user training, including creation of documentation when required

 

What you will be experienced in 

    • Working as a collaborative Business Analyst alongside a high performing delivery team

    • Create story maps that represent the user journey

    • Requirements Engineering and Traceability

    • Facilitating solution design session

    • Knowledge of the payment processing lifecycle, including acquiring, settlement and reconciliation is desirable

    • Understanding of applicable standards and controls, such as Payment Services Regulations, PCI-DSS and scheme rules and regulations

    • Agile Values, principles, and methodologies, including experience of working with Azure DevOps or similar backlog management tools

    • Articulating technical details specifically illustrating the business value to a non-technical audience

    • Performing documenting analysis using JIRA and Confluence to quickly gain required context and close knowledge gap

 

You will sucseed in this role if you; 

    • Are passionate about delivering an amazing experience for customers and internal stakeholders

    • Have a growth mindset and have a genuine curiosity for product and technology

    • Are comfortable stepping up when needed to facilitate successful meetings, sprint ceremonies

      and workshops

    • Are a generalist, with an understanding of multiple functions, and the ability to get up to speed

      with requirements across several business areas

    • Are experienced with various discovery methods and agile methodologies

    • Are a concise communicator who can build relationships and empathises with stakeholders

    • Have excellent attention to detail, focused on continuous improvement and organised

    • A creative and innovative thinker and easily adaptable to change

    • Have a broad understanding of modern technical concepts such as APIs, Cloud Computing,

      and encryption. Whilst this is not a technical role having this understanding would be very

      advantageous

    • A desire to contribute value to your team and cross skill yourself in a high performing agile

      team
