Our client, who are based in Cambridge are seeking an experienced and professional 1st and 2nd line Support Technician/Engineer

Our client is a start-up software company that operate within the legal sector, their products use sophisticated machine learning to save companies and professionals time and money.

They have been experiencing large levels of growth since their conception and are currently looking to secure a Support Technician to join their Cambridge office to be the first member of their support team. Being the first member of the team autonomy will be a key factor for a successful candidate, they will look at building a team around you within the near future so someone who is also willing to take a managerial step-up (or has previous managerial experience) will be a great fit.

The role will be based in their Cambridge office in the science park (2-3 miles from the city centre).

Essential skills and requirements:

-      In depth knowledge of Web applications (using browser console and API calls)

-      SQL databases (MySQL especially).

-      Detailed experience of Linux and exactly how to diagnose and trouble shoot issues.

-      Experience in both 1st and 2nd line support.

-      High level of autonomy and the ability to work individually is highly desirable.

-      Ideally previous experience in a managing role is highly desirable as you will be building a team in the future (not essential).

The salary for this role is between £25,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience.
