Maxamillian Woolgar

SAP Practice Lead

I joined SoCode in November 2025 as SAP Practice Lead, where I’m tasked with building and scaling our SAP capability across the UK and Europe. I lead the delivery of contract, permanent, and statement-of-work project solutions across the full SAP landscape, partnering with clients at every stage of their transformation journey to ensure they secure the right subject-matter experts, exactly when they need them. Day-to-day, I focus on growing the practice, expanding our network of top-tier SAP talent, and delivering exceptional service to both clients and candidates. If you are interested in learning more then please get in touch.

I specialise in the SAP contract and project solutions market, with particular focus on S/4HANA migrations, Programme & Project Management, Core Finance, Supply Chain, Data & Analytics, and Technical Integration.

With ECC mainstream maintenance ending in 2027, the urgency to move to S/4HANA has never been greater – and I’m right in the middle of it, helping clients secure the scarce, high-calibre experts needed to deliver these business-critical transformations on time and on budget.

After 13 years in this space, what still excites me is the pace, the complexity, and the real impact we make: every project is different, every deadline matters, and placing the perfect specialist into a high-stakes programme is genuinely rewarding.

Above all, I’m a relationship-driven recruiter. The deep, trusted partnerships I’ve built (and continue to nurture) across the UK and European SAP ecosystem are the foundation of everything I do.

What advice would you give someone looking to get into recruitment?

"Be curious, be resilient, and make sure you listen and put into practice everything you are taught. Recruitment can be extremely rewarding and really gives you the chance to be in charge of your own business – it’s for people who ask the right questions, truly listen, and aren’t scared of rejection or long hours. The ones who last (and thrive) are the ones who can think commercially while still caring about people. Master that balance of head and heart, and you’ll build not just a desk, but a career you’re proud of."

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

"I can be found trying to relax and unwind from work over the weekends whether that is playing or watching sport or just spending quality time with my family it is so important to make sure you switch off outside of work and have a healthy work life balance."
