Senior PCB Engineer
South Cambridge area | hybrid (3 days on site)
Up to £55k
I’m supporting a leading, innovation-driven engineering consultancy that develops advanced, sustainable and safety-critical technologies across commercial, industrial and defence sectors. Known for integrity and collaboration, they offer an environment where technical excellence and teamwork drive every project.
They’re now looking for a Senior PCB Design Engineer to play a pivotal role in transforming design concepts into high-quality, manufacturable boards. You’ll work closely with world-class RF, digital, power and analogue engineers, help strengthen supplier relationships, and contribute to enhancing PCB capability across the business.

They’re now looking for a Senior PCB Design Engineer to play a pivotal role in transforming design concepts into high-quality, manufacturable boards. You’ll work closely with world-class RF, digital, power and analogue engineers, help strengthen supplier relationships, and contribute to enhancing PCB capability across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing PCBs from schematics
- Managing libraries, BoMs and manufacturing data
- Liaising with suppliers on design, cost and timing
- Maintaining supplier relationships and audits
- Keeping up with new PCB technologies
- Ensuring quality and delivery standards (ISO9001)
- Presenting designs in reviews
- Improving PCB processes
- Strong PCB design portfolio (RF/microwave/mmWave a plus)
- Expert in Altium Designer (schematic capture and layout)
- Knowledge of SMT, DFA, DFM and IPC standards
- Experience working with electronics and mechanical teams
- Able to solve complex design problems independently
- Strong communication and supplier negotiation skills
