Software Engineer (Python) – Start Up

£30,000 - £65,000 depending on experience

We have established a firm partnership with a leading technology company in the Cambridge area. The company we are representing is looking to create a whole Python team in Machine Learning. Their scope is varied as they are looking for graduates, software engineers and senior developers. We have been entrusted to deliver the best candidates who have a real passion for Machine Learning as the client is looking to create a team that will breathe success.  

They are looking for developers to come in and really hit the ground running with the projects they have ongoing. The technology they are working on is ground-breaking and is going to revolutionise a whole market. This position is suited to someone with a fantastic drive for software engineering and a mindset for working on new technology. As it’s a start-up you will be allowed to have a real hands-on approach, be given a lot of autonomy and be able to impact the business from day one.

A successful candidate must be skilled in:

  • Python Or PHP
  • RESTful API development
  • Framework used – Flask, Celery, Gunicorn and Django
  • Databases – Preferably Redis and MySQL
  • Experience in Git
  • Experience using Linux
  • HTML5
  • JavaScript
  • CSS

Desirables:

  • Apache
  • Cloud Solutions
  • Source control and release management using Git/ GitLab
  • Work in an Agile environment
