Job Description

Electronics Design Engineer / Baseband Design Engineer

Cambridge

£35ph

Contract

The organisation

A group that work in the design manufacturing and supply of digital communication products for mission critical communication. They’re based a short distance for Cambridge North and are currently looking for contractors due to a recent win on a project. The work they provide is largely within the public services domain, with the tech they work on, being relied on in life or death scenarios. The work environment can be full on, with an expectation of delivery, though the management team do as much to relieve some of that pressure by allowing half days on Friday’s, working in spacious and modern working environments.

The role

You’ll be in the Baseband design department, working on the technical design and specification of baseband circuitry for communication products, which will include the complete subsystem design and implementation, integration with RF, Audio and MMI subsystems. Your work will largely involve taking concepts and developing them through prototype stages into production and support.

What you get in return

In return, you’ll be working on technology which will make a visible difference in the real world. You’ll be on an initial contract of 3 months, on a rate of £35ph, a modern working environment, and half days on a Friday.

Technical Requirements

As always, it’s important to make sure you’ve worked with the right tech, so have a review of their technical requirements below:

• Digital signal integrity & PCB layout rules

• Microprocessor circuit design

• Audio amplifiers (for in vehicle use)

• Design using digital interfaces such as Ethernet and USB

• Efficient circuit design for in vehicle products

• Design for EMC/ESD protection

• Design for Manufacturing and Test
