SoCode are partnered with one of the most advanced research and development companies in the world who are investing 3 billion into UK R & D projects over the next 5 years. They're currently looking for a Desktop Support Engineer on a contract basis to assist with helpdesk and networking within their flagship Cambridge office.
You will ideally have experience with a variety of hardware and internet applications, networks and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. You will be responsible for Helpdesk, office IT support and networking problems, which will require you to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.
- Helpdesk support （Windows/Linux laptop/desktop hardware, Enterprise standard software, email, Account and Privilege, Wired/Wireless network and so on）
- Office IT equipment technical support (Printer, Conference phone, Projector, Conference room IT equipment)
- Network and server system maintenance and troubleshooting. IT infrastructure maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Implement IT standard/policy in responsible offices. Analyse business requirement and initiate the IT project to satisfy the requirement.
This contract will be initially for 3 months but could be a much longer contract. We are looking for candidates charging between £120 to £180 per annum DOE.
