SoCode Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with a ground-breaking bio-tech company based in Cambridge. The company are a rapidly growing market leader, working on cutting edge DNA products, and have successfully commercialised proprietary gene technology.

The Position

They are looking for a Test Engineer to join their close-knit multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electronic and software engineers, synthetic and surface chemists, physicists and biologists. As a Test Engineer you will develop test rigs and protocols, and conduct tests, to compliment product development and manufacturing activities.

As a test engineer you will take ownership of several tasks including:

• Design and development of the test rigs
• Implementing actuation mechanisms and data-logging solutions, working
• Working with the lead engineer/scientist on the requirements of the experimental set-up
• Procurement of the standard and bespoke components
• Assembly and de-bug

This role requires someone who is willing to work independently but will also have the opportunity to learn from those around them.

Skills Needed

• Experience of having taken ownership for the design and development of test rigs and the diligent execution of robust test protocols
• Knowledge of standard data logging platforms and data analysis tools
• Knowledge of a range of prototyping and low-volume manufacturing methods
• Experience of working within a quality management system,
• Experience of developing jigs and fixtures for manufacturing and assembly purposes

This role can offer a salary between £35,000 - £45,000 plus share options.
