Description:

SoCode Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a market leading communications company based in Cambridge. The products you will be working on are largely used in the public services domain, and the company works with governments across the globe.

You will be joining the hardware development team, as the Technical Engineering Lead, with full product development lifecycle experience to work on the development of mobile digital radio products. You will provide technical ownership for a development project to ensure a high quality, repeatable design that meets the agreed requirements. The role suits someone with extensive and demonstrable electronics engineering and technical leadership experience.

Some of the things you’ll be involved in (not limited to)…

• Take ownership over the development of new electronics devices
• Work with a high-level team to make decisions around hardware and components
• Provide technical leadership to a highly skilled team of electronics engineers
• Help liaise with other onsite departments to provide continuous feedback and improvement
• Work methodically with the team to improve the field failure rate of devices as the business scales

• Experience of the full product design lifecycle
• Real world experience of analogue and digital electronics design
• Audio product development
• Good intrapersonal skills
• Design for medium volume product manufacture
• Design for Safety, EMC and ESD conformance
• Appreciation of RF design
