Job description

Due to client expansion and introduction of new technology, SoCode are looking for an experienced RF Design Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer of handheld communication devices for a range of industries, such as oil and gas, marine, mining, pharmaceuticals, ministry of defence and more.

You will be joining a small, but highly skilled team working on challenging projects, initially specialising in the development of a new digital product range, but then moving on to further exciting projects. As the RF Design expert, you will be integrating your work with the full team, and be provided empowerment in the decision making process.

Your role will start at the beginning of the design phase, and will progress right through to manufacture and beyond. As such this is a very interesting role that will see you exposed to a range of engineering disciplines, from design, to test and debugging, to offering technical advice internally and externally.

Requirements for application:

  • RF debugging
  • RF simulation software

  • A desire to work within radio frequency (100-1000mhz) development, and discrete design (we are happy to receive applications from

Desirable

  • Experienced with discrete designs
  • Good hands on prototyping experience, such as soldering with SMT components
  • ATE
  • EMI/EMC experience
  • Intrinsically safe design (ATEX, IECEx or other)
