R&D Manager

SoCode are proud to be working with a global software business in Cambridge - a collaborative tech focused organisation which inspires people to shape the future through creating software products.

We are looking for a R&D Manager who is able to lead, motivate and facilitate a development team using their people, project management and technical skills. The person we are looking for will work closely with a number of different people, implementing processes, contributing in a technical capacity as well as leading the team and mentoring. You will be responsible for a highly experienced Scrum team of 8-10 highly people.


What you will need:

  • 10 to 15 years of industry experience and 5+ years as a Software Development Manager.
  • Technical software experience and knowledge to support design review, prioritization, issue resolution, etc., such as:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
    Knowledge C# and Microsoft .NET development framework.
    • Experience in SaaS development.
    • Proven experience of managing, leading and coaching others.
    • Experience of working on multi-location and multi-national software development projects.
    • Experience of delivering software where performance and integrity are critical.
    Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to manage teams based in
    geographically dispersed locations.
    • Experience in driving and developing high-performance technical teams.
    • Clear and engaging communication and presenting style.
    • Understand software architecture and design using Agile management.

The successful candidate will receive a salary of Circa £80,000 per annum plus benefits and 10-20% bonus. The company has adopted a flexible/hybrid working approach – go to the office once/twice a fortnight.
