Job Title: Manual QA Engineer

Are you a Manual QA Engineer who also has a passion for all things music and tech?
We are excited to be working with a well-established and highly successful company that develop high-performance and affordable audio equipment, from speakers to headphones.
They are looking to hire a Manual QA Engineer to test their range of products. There is already an automation specialist within the business, so the purpose of this role will be solely manual testing the products.
This role does come with flexibility in terms of remote working, the expectation is to attend the office 2/3 days per week.
You will be responsible for…
- Testing a range of audio products (including headphones, speakers, companion apps) and ensuring the software quality and robustness of these
- Creating and maintaining test cases based on the software requirements and specs
- Creating logs to document testing phases and defects
- Coordinating QA efforts with 3rd party dev partners
- Reviewing and analysing system specifications
- Assisting with the definition of Alpha and Beta test scenarios, hosting test programmes
- Working with the engineering team to identify the causes of bugs identified through capturing logs and documenting reproducible steps
- Managing the backlog of bugs and leading bugs triaging sessions, prioritising the quality issues that need addressing
You will need to have…
- Strong understanding of SQA testing methods, as well as best practices
- Ability to define and execute manual software quality tests
- Understanding of connected product specification and performance standards
- Ideally, knowledge/experience of testing connected products (IP/Bluetooth/Video/Audio)
- An interest/knowledge of audio products
- A level of experience using product strategy toolsets to define portfolio and product strategies
- Self-motivation and confidence, as well as analytical problem-solving and decision-making
