Junior, Mid and Senior Java/Kotlin Engineers

Permanent - £30,000 - £95,000.

Hybrid/Remote working model in the Cambridge and London area.

My client is looking for highly motivated, self-starting, world-class junior, mid and senior level Java/Kotlin engineers to significantly impact the back end of a new and exciting project in the fintech area.

Do you want to be at the very forefront of a new challenger bank, coding in greenfield spaces on customer facing back-end systems? Adding new code, but also introducing improvements to the basic code which has been written, whilst having the freedom to expand and architect systems to work effectively across widely separated storage clusters. This exciting role would have you working on key areas for the business such as, product development, risk and fraud prevention to ensure the security and effectiveness of these systems.

To be successful:

  • Batchelors degree or above in computer science/maths/physics or similar from a leading university
  • Proficient in Java and/or Kotlin, with knowledge of Spring, Kubernetes SQL, Python, microservices, distributed systems and the git revision control system
  • You will need to be proactive and self-sufficient, with the ability to manage your own time, using your high level ability to build effective systems quickly and correctly.
  • Eager to learn new and exciting skills, whilst using your own knowledge, my client isn’t religious regarding the tools they use, meaning they are readily available to adapt to new techniques if this makes the product more effective.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in development
  • Experience in payment and financial systems experience
