Embedded Software Engineer – C++ – Hybrid Working

Upto £75,000 depending on experience.

This Cambridge based company have asked SoCode to help deliver a passionate, skilled Embedded C++ Engineer. With technology advancements and a greener planet at the forefront of their work, this company has over 100 years of creating products that change the way consumers and utilities manage energy habits.

Your role will be to design, develop, test, modify and debug embedded software devices, optimising capability and delivering a premium product to our blue-chip client base.

The candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or numerate subject 

• Proven ability in programming with C++ and well versed in Embedded Software development

• Understanding and experience of an Agile environment

• Driven and ambitious with a desire to push for continuous improvement and deliver quality software

• Must be eligible to live and work in the UK

Desirable but not essential:

• Writing unit tests and component tests.

• Test automation (Python, Teststand, Labview) Experience

• Programming on an RTOS.

• Writing on device drivers, kernel drivers.
