Description:

SoCode Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a market leading technology company based in Cambridge. The products you will be working on are next-generation smartphone components, and the company is backed by a multi-national team of venture capitalists who are looking to scale the business.

They are seeking a Test Engineer on a contract basis, who will be responsible for writing test programs in order to check reliability and characterise their development programs. You will be heavily involved the IC design and software teams, and you will be asked to collaboration across a multi-disciplinary team of engineers.

Key skills and experience…

·        Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering (or similar) to at least 2.1 level, or equivalent practical experience

·        Experience of data collection and data analysis in electronic devices

·        Ability to perform debug using lab equipment such as an oscilloscope or analyser

·        Experience preparing test scripts for automated measurement

·        Exceptional analytical and organisational skills, coupled with attention to detail

·        Excellent spoken and written English, with clear communication skills and an understanding of good documentation practices

Beneficial skills…

·        Experience in an IC test development environment

·        Coding in Python

·        Experience of mixed signal designs

·        Experience of yield enhancement and test time reduction

·        Experience in IC failure analysis

·        Experience with piezoelectric devices and/or touch screen technology
