Cloud Security Architect (Fintech Start Up)

Job description

SoCode have been selected to appoint an Executive Director  for our client - a global investment bank who are starting up a new Digital/Mobile bank from scratch, scheduled to launch in 2021. This organisation acts independantly and autonomously from the global investment bank - so retains a start up / ramp up philoshophy. 

This is a hands-on Security Architecture role within a green-field initiative using  the latest technologies and the best industry practices to deliver an end-to-end cutting-edge solution to clients.

You'll be a modern, curious problem solver who is passionate about working in an agile and dynamic environment.

You should have significant experience in recent hands-on security architecture roles and ideally working experience within a regulated industry (Fintech/Banking) 

Your technical skills should include:

  • Extensive experience architecting security within the cloud, specifically operating with zero-trust and trusted computing principles to enable inter-service, partner and Internet connectivity
  • Experience of securing container and related platform technologies, specifically containerization, service mesh and distributed database platform technologies
  • Experience of designing and operating a SDLC within a DevSecOps and cloud CI/CD context
  • Experience working with development teams, specifically software change for iOS and Android platforms, and infrastructure as code
  • Experience designing and delivering authentication and authorization services, including operation of OIDC, OAuth and SAML technologies
  • Understanding of secrets and privileged access management
  • Understanding of mobile application and device security
  • Understanding of security policy design, implementation and governance
  • Understanding of microservices architecture
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and web technologies
  • Understanding of relational databases

Your soft skills should include:

  • Ability to influence teams on design principles, and implementation patterns that lead to high-quality maintainable solutions with secure outcomes
  • Ability to identify security solutions that address both the business and policy requirements
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment within a geographically distributed team
  • Ability to focus on promptly addressing customer needs
  • Ability to work within a diverse and inclusive team
  • Technically curious, versatile and solution oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

 

Rewards:

Due to the importance and seniority of this role, we're very open minded about salaries and packages.  We would expect that the successful candidate will be in the £200-£300k (Total Comp) range with a significant benefits package on top.
