Electronics Engineer

Job description

Electronics Engineer (Mixed-Signal & Sensors)
Cambridge | 5 days onsite
£55k - £70k

Are you a hands-on engineer who loves taking innovative electronics from concept to production?
Do mixed-signal and precision analogue technology excite you?

We’re working with a Cambridge-based engineering business developing advanced sensor systems. You’ll own the electronics lifecycle, from circuit design and prototyping to validation, debugging, and supporting production. This is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex mixed-signal challenges and delivering high-precision technology.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Design, build, and test analogue and digital electronics for sensor signal conditioning and feedback control.
  • Capture schematics and develop PCB layouts for low-noise, high-precision circuits.
  • Lead validation, debugging, and documentation of designs and test procedures.
  • Collaborate with software, test, and manufacturing teams for smooth integration.
  • Support new product introduction and design-for-test initiatives.
What we’re looking for:
  • 2+ years’ industry experience in electronics design.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB CAD tools (e.g., Altium) and board-level mixed-signal design.
  • Strong understanding of analogue/digital electronics, low-noise front-ends, PLLs, and control systems.
  • Adaptable, practical problem-solver with strong communication skills.
Nice to have: MEMS front-end electronics, oscillator design, SPICE/MATLAB/Python modelling, or low-noise testing experience.
