Contract Data Engineer / BI Developer (Snowflake, SQL, dbt/SQLMesh)

We are looking for a Data Engineer / BI Developer to join our growing data team at an exciting time, as demand for analytics and data products increases following an upcoming major product release. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and business intelligence, helping to accelerate the delivery of high-quality, reliable data across the organisation.
You will work primarily within a modern data stack, building scalable data transformation pipelines using advanced SQL patterns and frameworks such as dbt or SQLMesh, with Snowflake as the central data platform. The focus of the role will be on designing and implementing efficient data models, developing robust transformation logic, and enabling faster, more reliable access to data for downstream analytics and reporting.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SQL-based data transformation, data modelling, and working within cloud data warehouse environments. You should be comfortable bridging the gap between BI development and data engineering, ensuring that data pipelines are both scalable and structured to support evolving analytics requirements.
We are open to hiring either a contractor or a permanent team member, and would prefer candidates based within European time zones to support collaboration and operational coverage.
